What Do You Think About God?

I was raised in a cult (a very famous one) and most people don’t know this about me, and I don’t like to talk about it, because while people are not necessarily cruel, they are also not careful in the barrage of questions they have. It’s understandable to be curious, but I feel like their curiosity always tramples their concern for me as individual human. But I guess people are rarely intelligent about trauma, and I guess religion is so often tied to trauma, especially in childhood, and maybe that is one reason why everyone is so tight-lipped.
